Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code
The LSUCCC adopts the 2021 IBC, IRC, IEBC, IMC, IPC and IFGC with the 2020 NEC, effective from January 2023, with the 2021 IECC following from mid-2023.

Adoption is by statute with defined carve-outs. Local authority is narrow — parishes and municipalities may optionally enforce certain appendices and may not impose sprinkler requirements on one- and two-family dwellings.
LSUCCC Council
The Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code Council, within the Office of State Fire Marshal, maintains the code. The next I-Code adoption is anticipated but not yet effective.
