What is included in an MEP engineering package?
Depending on the disciplines you need: mechanical plans and load calculations, electrical power and lighting plans with panel schedules and NEC load calculations, and plumbing supply, sanitary, vent and gas plans with sizing calculations — plus energy compliance documentation and the engineer’s seal. The exact sheet list is agreed in writing before work begins.
Can I order just one discipline instead of all three?
Yes. Many projects only need mechanical, or only electrical. You are quoted per discipline, so you never pay for sheets your building department is not asking for. If you are unsure which are required, send us the permit comments and we will tell you.
Do you provide Manual J, S and D calculations?
Yes. Residential HVAC work includes ACCA Manual J room-by-room load calculations, Manual S equipment selection and Manual D duct design as standard, because most residential plan reviewers now request them explicitly. Commercial projects receive a block or zone load report instead.
Do you handle COMcheck and REScheck?
Yes. Energy code compliance documentation is prepared and submitted with the MEP package where the jurisdiction requires it, using the code edition and compliance path that jurisdiction has adopted.
Are your MEP engineers licensed in my state?
Yes. Every project is assigned to a professional engineer holding an active licence in the state where the project is permitted, because a seal is only valid in the state of licensure. We confirm the engineer of record for your state before you commit to anything.
How fast can I get stamped MEP drawings?
Most standard residential and light commercial MEP packages are delivered within 48 to 72 hours of receiving complete architectural information. Larger or multi-storey commercial projects are quoted with a specific schedule up front.
Can you work from my architect’s drawings?
That is the normal starting point and the fastest path. We need the floor plans, reflected ceiling plans if they exist, elevations and the intended occupancy. A clean architectural background lets us coordinate the MEP systems properly rather than guessing at clearances.
What happens if the plan reviewer returns comments?
We respond and revise as part of the original engagement rather than as a change order. The engineer of record stays on the project until the permit is issued.
